A small group from HT went to Rwanda in 2008 with 2 other churches in partnership with COMFORT RWANDA to preach the good news of Jesus and find out about the healing and reconciliation work that is going on in that country in the wake of the genocide.

In September 2010,  a larger group of 16 left for what was a life changing mission trip. We visited, preached and encouraged churches in the Northern region of Mutara which is the most rural and poorest part of Rwanda. We  were involved practically in concreting floors in the homes of the very poorest and providing shoes and materials for school children. This was in partnership with two local Rwandese ministries:

SOLACE Ministries – set up to provide healing and reconciliation through various business, health and agricultural projects for those traumatised by the genocide.

The LIVING CHURCH – a group of churches which we have worked in partnership with in the gospel. They have grown from just a few congregations to over 40 in the past 15 years.

Ian MacDonald our Associate Minister is also involved in teaching local pastors with the new certificate in Biblical studies that Comfort Rwanda has set up accredited by ICC in Glasgow.
